Job description for Sales Associate at Nappa Milano
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers in-store (and/or via online channels), providing friendly, knowledgeable service.
- Understand and communicate product details, including materials (nappa leather), craftsmanship, sizing, and care instructions.
- Achieve individual and store sales targets through proactive selling and upselling/cross-selling.
- Handle transactions accurately, including cash/card payments, returns, and exchanges in line with company policy.
- Maintain store presentation — product displays, stock arrangement, and cleanliness — to reflect the brand's quality image.
- Manage stock levels: receiving, checking, and replenishing merchandise; report stock issues to supervisors.
- Build good relationships with customers to encourage repeat visits and brand loyalty.
- Stay up to date on current promotions, new arrivals, and collections to inform customers accurately.
- Handle customer questions, complaints, or feedback professionally, escalating when necessary.
Requirements:
- Minimum high school diploma (SMA/SMK); retail or fashion-related education is a plus.
- Prior experience in retail sales, preferably in footwear, fashion, or lifestyle products.
- Friendly, approachable, and confident communication skills.
- Well-groomed appearance and professional attitude, consistent with a premium retail brand.
- Target-driven with good persuasion and interpersonal skills.
- Basic numeracy skills for handling transactions and cash register/POS systems.
- Willing to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays as needed.
- Team player who can also work independently on the sales floor.
