Job description for Sales and Warehouse Representative at Forte Biotech
About the role
Forte Biotech is seeking a proactive and adaptable Sales and Warehouse Representative to support our customers and business growth in Indonesia. This hybrid role combines customer service, business development, warehouse fulfilment, and event representation. The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, take ownership of customer issues, and ensure products are packed and dispatched accurately from our Batam warehouse.
Key responsibilities
1. Customer support
• Support existing customers by understanding their needs, responding to enquiries, and resolving product or service issues promptly.
• Coordinate with colleagues and relevant external stakeholders to identify practical solutions and follow issues through to closure.
• Visit customer sites when required to investigate and help resolve problems in person.
• Maintain clear records of customer communications, issues, actions, and outcomes, and provide timely updates to the company.
2. Sales and business development
• Identify and research prospective customers based on company direction and market priorities.
• Reach out to prospective customers through suitable communication channels, introduce Forte Biotech and its solutions, and arrange follow-up discussions.
• Maintain an organised pipeline of leads and provide regular updates on outreach activities, customer feedback, and sales opportunities.
3. Warehouse and order fulfilment
• Support day-to-day operations at the Batam warehouse, including picking, packing, labelling, and preparing products for dispatch.
• Coordinate product shipments and help ensure that orders are accurate, securely packed, and sent on time.
• Handle products and shipment records carefully and follow the company's operating and inventory procedures.
4. Events and company representation
• Represent Forte Biotech at exhibitions, seminars, workshops, customer meetings, and other relevant events across Indonesia.
• Communicate professionally with customers, partners, and event participants, and share relevant leads and market feedback with the company after each event.
Requirements
• Fluent in both English and Bahasa Indonesia, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proactive, dependable, and able to take initiative without close supervision.
• A quick learner who can adapt to new products, processes, and responsibilities.
• Strong customer service and problem-solving skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively across different stakeholders.
• Well organised and comfortable balancing customer-facing work with practical warehouse duties.
• Willing and able to travel within Indonesia for customer visits and company events when required.
• Comfortable working full time from the Batam base and handling physical packing and dispatch tasks.
Preferred qualification
• Prior experience using artificial intelligence tools in sales, customer support, administration, research, reporting, or other day-to-day work is an advantage.

• New customer outreach is consistent, organised, and aligned with company priorities.
• Orders from the Batam warehouse are packed accurately and dispatched on schedule.
