What you'll be doing
- Preparing detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects
- Monitoring and controlling project costs throughout the construction process
- Negotiating and managing contracts with suppliers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders
- Analysing and interpreting financial data to identify potential cost savings and efficiencies
- Providing regular cost reports and updates to project managers and clients
- Collaborating with the project team to optimise resource utilisation and ensure project deliverables are met within budget
- Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and company policies
What we're looking for
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry
- Strong understanding of construction cost estimating, budgeting, and cost control techniques
- Proficient in using quantity surveying software and other relevant digital tools
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team
- Attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving mindset
- Knowledge of relevant construction regulations, building codes, and industry standards
