Job Description
- Design test scenarios and test cases for new features (functional, regression, and edge cases) based on BRD/FRD.
- Perform functional testing of REST APIs using Postman or similar tools for transaction, settlement, and disbursement flows.
- Conduct provider integration testing, including callback handling, status checks, retry/timeout scenarios, and intermittent errors.
- Perform reconciliation testing to ensure transaction data consistency between internal systems and providers.
- Write and maintain clear and reproducible test cases, test reports, and bug reports for the development team.
- Execute regression testing for every sprint release, retest bugs, and collaborate with BE/FE/PM to ensure acceptance criteria are testable.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience as a QA Engineer or Software Tester, preferably in transactional or financial systems (payment, banking, or e-commerce).
- Familiar with API testing using Postman or similar tools, including understanding of request/response structures, status codes, headers, and authentication.
- Able to read and write basic to intermediate SQL queries (JOIN, FILTER, AGGREGATE) for data verification.
- Understand STLC (test planning, design, execution, and reporting) and the bug lifecycle, and be experienced in writing structured test cases and test scenarios.
- Familiar with defect tracking and project management tools such as ClickUp, Jira, or similar.
- Detail-oriented, systematic, and communicative in writing reproducible bug reports; proactive in clarifying requirements and comfortable working in a sprint environment with tight release timelines.
