Job description for Quality Assurance Engineer at Aldmic COOPN Digital
Responsibilities:
- Review requirements, specifications, and design documents to ensure clarity, completeness, and testability.
- Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases (functional, regression, integration, UAT, etc.).
- Execute manual testing across web, mobile, and API layers to identify defects, inconsistencies, or usability issues.
- Log and track defects using tools like Jira, ensuring clear steps to reproduce, screenshots/logs, and severity/priority labels.
- Perform regression testing after code changes, bug fixes, or new releases to ensure stability.
- Collaborate closely with developers to reproduce issues, verify fixes, and ensure quality before deployment.
- Conduct cross-browser, cross-device, and compatibility testing.
- Perform basic performance, load, and security checks where applicable.
- Contribute to improving QA processes, standards, and tools to increase efficiency.
- Work in Agile/Scrum environment, participating in daily standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in software quality assurance and testing.
- Proven experience testing web applications, APIs, and/or mobile apps.
- Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, lifecycles, and best practices.
- Hands-on experience writing test plans, test cases, and defect reports.
- Familiar with tools like Jira, TestRail, Postman, Chrome DevTools, etc.
- Basic understanding of software development processes (Agile/Scrum).
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to think critically.
- Good communication skills — able to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proactive, self-driven, and able to work independently or in a team.
- Willingness to learn and adapt as the project evolves.
Nice-to-Have:
- Basic knowledge of programming or scripting (JavaScript, PHP, SQL) — very valuable in our team.
- Experience with test automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, etc.).
- Experience testing cloud-based systems, SaaS platforms, or complex workflows.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Experience working in early-stage projects or building products from scratch.
- Background in development or previous experience as a developer (aligns well with our team’s technical culture).
