Job description for QC Inspector – Assembly & Testing (API 6A) at PT Digital Mechanical Technology

Key Qualifications :

  • Diploma (D3) or Bachelor's Degree (S1) in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Technical vocational graduates (SMK) with relevant experience are welcome to apply
  • Good command of English, both written and spoken.
  • Proficient in basic Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook, ERP/MRP system knowledge is preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a QC Inspector in the Oil & Gas manufacturing industry, preferably with API 6A products.
  • Experience in assembly inspection, pressure testing, functional testing, and calibration.
  • Familiar with Wellhead Equipment, Christmas Tree, Gate Valve, Tubing Hanger, Casing Head, Valve Assembly, or Pressure Control Equipment is preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and inspection documents.
  • Knowledge of API 6A, quality inspection procedures is an advantage.
  • Proficient in using precision measuring instruments such as Vernier Calipers, Micrometers, Height-Gauges, Bore Gauges, and Torque Wrenches.
  • Detail-oriented, responsible, and able to work independently and as part of a team.

General Job Descriptions :

  • Perform assembly, dimensional, testing, and calibration inspections to ensure products meet company, customer, and international quality standards.
  • Conduct in-process, final, and pre-shipment inspections in accordance with approved procedures and engineering drawings.
  • Witness and verify hydrostatic, functional, and pressure testing activities.
  • Prepare inspection reports, quality records, and Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) when required.
  • Ensure all measuring and testing equipment are properly calibrated before use.
  • Work closely with Production, Engineering, and QA teams to resolve quality issues and maintain product compliance.
  • Support customer inspections, third-party audits, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
