Job description for QA Engineer at PT Karsa Omni Teknologi Adicipta
We’re looking for a Junior QA Engineer to help us build software that users can trust.
You won’t just be clicking around and reporting broken buttons. You’ll be learning how quality is engineered into the product from day one. You’ll write clear test cases, execute manual and basic automated tests, validate APIs, and work side-by-side with developers to understand the root cause of issues. If you have a keen eye for detail and a mindset that asks, "What happens if the user does this?", this is your space to grow.
This is a hybrid role based in West Jakarta, where mentorship meets hands-on delivery.
What You’ll Do:
✅ Execute manual test cases across web and mobile applications to ensure feature reliability
✅ Identify, document, and track bugs clearly and reproducibly using Jira or similar tools
✅ Assist senior engineers in writing and maintaining basic automated test scripts (e.g., Cypress, Playwright, or Selenium)
✅ Support API testing (using Postman or similar) to validate backend microservices
✅ Participate in sprint planning, test estimation, and release readiness checks
✅ Advocate for quality and help the team establish better testing habits
Who You Are:
✅ 1–2 years of experience in QA, software testing, or a related technical role (strong fresh graduates with relevant projects/internships are welcome)
✅ Solid understanding of software testing concepts: test cases, bug lifecycle, regression, and edge cases
✅ Familiarity with web technologies (HTML, CSS, basic JavaScript) and REST APIs
✅ Comfortable with Git, basic terminal commands, and agile workflows
✅ Bonus: Exposure to automation tools (Cypress, Playwright, Selenium) or CI/CD pipelines
✅ Ruthlessly detail-oriented, patient, and able to communicate technical issues clearly
✅ Fluent in English — written and spoken
