COMPANY DESCRIPTION
Established in 2006, PT Inosoft Trans Sistem is a Surabaya-based software development company specializing in supply chain and enterprise solutions.
We focus on building reliable, scalable, and production-ready systems, while fostering a culture of responsibility, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
We embrace modern tools and are on a journey to integrate AI-assisted workflows across our development and QA lifecycle, ensuring speed, precision, and scalability in everything we build
ROLE OVERVIEW
We are looking for a full-time Quality Assurance (QA) Automation Engineer who is passionate about delivering high-quality software products. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to contribute from anywhere while collaborating closely with our dynamic, distributed team. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, functionality, and usability of our web-based applications.
You will work on a large-scale supply chain management system that supports core business operations, including demand–supply planning and warehouse processes. The platform is actively evolving and operates in a production environment, requiring strong automation practices to maintain stability while enabling safe and continuous improvements.
This role is heavily focused on web automation using Playwright, with manual testing performed when necessary. You will collaborate closely with developers and product teams to implement shift-left testing, ensure early validation, and support high-velocity Agile releases.
The ideal candidate is comfortable working in environments where test automation practices are evolving, and can contribute effectively during testing framework transitions while maintaining quality standards.
This position is well suited for mid-to-senior QA Automation Engineers who enjoy building and refining automation frameworks, working with real-world production systems, and taking ownership of quality in complex applications.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in QA, with at least 2 years focused on automation testing.
- Strong hands-on experience in modern web automation, with Playwright as the primary tool (JavaScript/TypeScript).
- Ability to build, maintain, and scale automation frameworks for long-term use.
- Familiarity with API testing and backend validation (RESTful APIs).
- Solid understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, and test management processes.
- Ability to develop structured test plans and define comprehensive test coverage using test management tools such as Zephyr Scale.
- Working proficiency with JIRA for task management, defect tracking, and workflow coordination.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
- Clear communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test cases using Playwright.
- Collaborate with development and product teams during planning and design phases to support testability and early validation.
- Create and maintain manual and automation test cases in Zephyr Scale.
- Manage test execution, defects, and sprint reporting using JIRA.
- Conduct exploratory testing to uncover usability issues and edge cases.
- Apply risk-based prioritization to focus automation efforts on critical user flows.
- Identify, log, and clearly communicate defects, including their technical and business impact.
- Perform regression, functional, UI, performance, and basic security testing as needed.
- Support post-release and post-deployment testing in production-like environments.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, documentation, and automation strategy.
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience integrating automation tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins).
- Understanding of BDD concepts (e.g., Gherkin syntax).
- Experience working with containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Exposure to cloud-based testing platforms such as BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, or AWS Device Farm.
- Familiarity with mobile automation frameworks (Appium, Espresso, Robo Test).
- Experience with Katalon Studio, particularly in maintaining or transitioning legacy automation suites into modern frameworks.
- Interest in exploring AI-enhanced QA tools for test generation, prioritization, or predictive analysis.
