QA Automation Engineer (Playwright & Cypress)
Position: QA Automation Engineer
Employment Type: 3 month contract (extendable)
Work Location: Onsite at Setiabudi, Kuningan, South Jakarta
About the Role
onbehalf our client at Insurance Company, We are looking for a detail-oriented QA Automation Engineer with hands-on experience in Playwright and Cypress to ensure the quality and reliability of our web applications. You will work closely with developers, product teams, and stakeholders to design, develop, and execute automated testing strategies throughout the software development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and analyze business and system requirements to create effective test strategies.
- Collaborate with developers and product teams to define test plans and automation approaches.
- Design, develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Playwright and Cypress.
- Execute automated test cases and analyze test execution results.
- Validate applications against functional and non-functional requirements.
- Identify, document, track, and verify software defects using bug tracking tools.
- Create and maintain detailed test documentation, including test cases, test reports, and defect logs.
- Perform regression, integration, functional, smoke, and end-to-end testing.
- Conduct post-deployment validation to ensure successful production releases.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Continuously improve test automation frameworks, test coverage, and QA processes.
- Ensure all assigned tasks are completed in accordance with company policies, standards, and procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a QA Automation Engineer, Software Tester, or similar role for middle role.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a QA Automation Engineer, Software Tester, or similar role for senior role.
- Strong hands-on experience with Playwright and/or Cypress.
- Experience developing and maintaining automated UI test scripts.
- Good understanding of software testing methodologies, SDLC, and STLC.
- Experience performing functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Ability to analyze system requirements and translate them into comprehensive test scenarios.
- Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, TestRail).
- knowledge of API testing using tools such as Postman or REST Assured is an advantage.
