Job description for Python Engineer at Pt First Wap International
PT FIRST WAP INTERNATIONAL (brand name **1rstWAP**) is a technology company providing advanced mobile messaging, location-based services, and other technology solutions to mobile operators, enterprise customers, and government institutions worldwide.
We are currently looking for a **Java Engineer** to join our Software Development team in Setiabudi, South Jakarta.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Design, develop, implement, and maintain software applications using **Java** in accordance with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
* Analyze software requirements and translate technical specifications into efficient and maintainable code.
* Research appropriate technologies and technical solutions for software implementation.
* Estimate development effort and implementation timelines.
* Design and develop reusable, scalable, and maintainable Java code following company coding standards.
* Develop and execute **unit tests** to ensure code quality and reliability.
* Perform code reviews and provide constructive technical feedback to other developers.
* Conduct application and code performance testing and perform **code refactoring** when required.
* Test software implementations in local/development environments and troubleshoot application issues through logs and system analysis.
* Maintain proper technical and code documentation.
* Collaborate with System Architects, QA Engineers, DevOps, Database Engineers, and other development team members.
* Provide technical support and knowledge sharing related to assigned development areas when required.
**Requirements:**
* Bachelor's degree in **Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering**, or related field.
* Minimum **2 years of professional software development experience**.
* Strong hands-on experience in **Java programming**.
* Good understanding of **Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)** and software design principles.
* Experience with **Spring / Spring Boot** is preferred.
* Experience developing and integrating **RESTful APIs**.
* Good understanding of **SQL and relational databases** such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
* Familiar with **Git/version control** and software development workflows.
* Experience with **unit testing, debugging, code review, and code refactoring**.
* Good understanding of **SDLC and software development best practices**.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
* Able to work independently and collaboratively within a development team.
* Good communication skills in **English and Indonesian**, both written and spoken.
