Job description for Purchasing Supervisor at Big Bellies Clan
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage the end-to-end procurement process for raw materials, packaging, cleaning chemicals, and operational supplies.
- Ensure all outlet requirements are fulfilled and delivered according to schedule.
- Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) based on operational requirements.
- Identify, evaluate, and develop new suppliers to improve cost competitiveness and supply reliability.
- Conduct regular supplier performance evaluations based on quality, pricing, delivery performance, service, and reliability.
- Negotiate pricing, discounts, rebates, payment terms, and supplier contracts to achieve the best commercial value.
- Obtain and compare quotations from at least three suppliers before making strategic purchasing decisions.
- Reduce Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) through effective sourcing strategies and supplier negotiations.
- Prepare analyses of raw material price fluctuations and recommend cost-saving initiatives.
- Monitor inventory planning to ensure: No overstock situations, no stock-out occurrences, safety stock levels are maintained, purchasing forecasts are accurate and aligned with business demand.
- Supervise, coach, and support Purchasing and Store staff in their daily operations and ensure compliance with procurement procedures.
