About the role
We are seeking a Purchasing Staff to join our team at PT Victorindo Pratama Mandiri, a leading manufacturing and logistics company located in Medan, North Sumatra. In this full-time position, you will play a crucial role in managing the procurement and inventory processes that are essential to our business operations.
What you'll be doing
- Facilitate the procurement of materials, equipment, and services required for production and operations (local and import)
- Negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best possible terms and pricing
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all purchasing activities
- Collaborate with departments to ensure timely delivery of supplies and materials
- Monitor inventory levels and replenish stock as needed
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
- Support the development and implementation of purchasing policies and procedures
What we're looking for
- Minimum Bachelor's degree majoring in any fields from reputable University
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably in the manufacturing or logistics industry
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive supplier relationships
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Proficient in inventory management and supply chain best practices
- Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills
- Proficient in MS Office applications, especially Excel
