Job description for Purchasing Specialist at PT. MACACA PESONA MUDA
Qualifications :
- Education: Minimum Diploma (D3) or Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Experience: At least 1-2 years of experience in Purchasing or Merchandiser, preferably in fashion retail or manufacturing industries.
- Communication Skills: Both written and verbal, to effectively negotiate with vendors and collaborate across departments.
- Strong data analysis Skills: To make informed decisions with proficiency in relevant software/tools (e.g., excel, spreadsheet).
- Thirst for Learning: A proactive, open-minded approach to learning new methods, tools, and strategies to enhance performance and meet company goals.
- Opportunistic Mindset: Ability to identify opportunities for cost efficiency and improvements that align with the company’s goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Purchase Order Creation & Vendor Management: Create purchase orders, communicate them to local vendors, and ensure timely delivery while keeping vendors on schedule and maintaining quality and cost standards.
- Demand Forecasting & Inventory Management: Use data to forecast product demand, analyze sales trends, and adjust purchasing strategies to ensure optimal inventory levels, avoiding overstocking or stockouts. Regularly assess inventory data to make informed decisions on reordering and stock rotation.
- Risk Management: Identify potential supply risks and develop contingency plans to minimize disruption.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Share key data insights to other departments (e.g., Marketing) to maintain ideal stock levels that support demand while helping achieve company goals for sales, growth, and profitability.
- Continuous Improvement: Continuously analyze purchasing processes and vendor performance to spot opportunities for improvement. Stay open to new strategies and data-driven methods to enhance purchasing practices and contribute to the company's overall goals.
