Job description for Purchasing Officer at PT Skala Sukses Mandiri
Job Brief:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Purchasing Officer to manage our company’s procurement activities.
The Purchasing Officer’s responsibilities include developing purchasing strategies, maintaining positive relationships with suppliers, coordinating with internal teams regarding their supply needs, and overseeing the purchasing team in their daily activities.
Our ideal candidate is someone who has a strong understanding of supply chain management concepts, is cost-conscious, and is able to negotiate the best possible deals to ensure the long-term success of our business.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, lead and execute purchasing strategies
- Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
- Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking
- Assess, manage and mitigate risks
- Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers
- Determine quantity and timing of deliveries
- Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand
- Maintain records of purchases, pricing, and other important data
- Review and analyze all vendors/suppliers, supply, and price options
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Have Bachelor's degree (S1)
- Have experience in supply chain management, logistics or business administration for at least 3 years in technical sourcing materials
- Proven work experience as a Purchasing Officer, Purchasing Agent or similar role especially for technical parts and components
- Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating and liaising with vendors)
- Good knowledge of supply chain procedures and procurement processes
- Solid analytical skills, with the ability to create financial reports and conduct cost analyses
- Good at negotiation and communication, both in Indonesian and English
- Detail-oriented with good problem-solving and organizational skills
