Job description for Purchasing Officer (Mandarin Speaker) at PT Dynacast Indonesia
About the Role
PT Dynacast Indonesia is looking for an experienced Purchasing Officer (Mandarin Speaker) to handle end-to-end procurement processes, with a strong focus on managing vendor relationships and negotiations, particularly with overseas suppliers in China and Taiwan.
Key Responsibilities
- PO Processing: Convert Purchase Requisitions (PR) into Purchase Orders (PO) accurately and efficiently.
- Vendor Sourcing & Negotiation: Identify, evaluate, and negotiate prices, terms, and quality standards with local and overseas suppliers (mainly China/Taiwan).
- Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure on-time delivery and quick resolution of quality or service issues.
- Cross-Border Communication: Liaise fluently with Chinese vendors and internal teams regarding product specifications, import documentation, and shipment updates.
- Logistics Coordination: Track incoming orders and collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams for smooth receiving processes.
- Reporting & Administration: Maintain precise purchasing records and prepare routine cost and inventory reports.
Requirements
- Language: Fluent in Mandarin (Spoken & Written is a MUST) for daily vendor communication + Working proficiency in English.
- Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of experience in Purchasing, Sourcing, or Procurement (experience dealing with Chinese suppliers is highly preferred).
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Chinese Language, or related fields.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Excel and experience working with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Core Competencies: Strong negotiation skills, analytical thinking, excellent cross-cultural communication, and high attention to detail.
