About the role
We are seeking a highly organised and experienced Purchasing Import professional to join our team at our company. In this full-time role based in Cengkareng, Jakarta, you will be responsible for managing the procurement of imported materials and goods to support our manufacturing operations.
What you'll be doing
- Develop and maintain relationships with overseas suppliers to ensure timely and reliable deliveries
- Negotiate prices, terms and conditions with suppliers to obtain the best value for the company
- Prepare and process purchase orders, monitor order fulfilment and liaise with suppliers on logistics
- Manage inventory levels and reorder points to maintain optimal stock availability
- Collaborate with other departments to understand procurement needs and align purchasing activities
- Identify opportunities to improve purchasing processes and implement efficiencies
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures as well as relevant regulations
What we're looking for
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a import purchasing or import procurement role, preferably in the manufacturing industry
- Understand SPPB, PPJK, PIB, Invoice, Packing list documents.
- Accustomed to coordinating with forwarder.
- Strong knowledge of international trade, import/export processes and logistics management
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills to liaise effectively with suppliers
- Proficient in data analysis and inventory management to optimise purchasing decisions
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or a related field is preferred
