About the Job
PT Esora Medika Indonesia is looking for a proactive, detail-oriented, and analytical Purchasing Exim Staff to support our procurement and import-export activities in the medical device manufacturing industry.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing purchasing activities, coordinating with domestic and international suppliers, monitoring import shipments, and ensuring that procurement and import documentation is complete and accurate.
Key Responsibilities
- Review Purchase Requests from internal users to ensure the completeness of supporting documents and material specifications.
- Prepare and issue Purchase Orders for local and overseas suppliers in accordance with company procedures and approval requirements.
- Monitor supplier delivery schedules and outstanding Purchase Orders to ensure timely material availability.
- Coordinate with overseas suppliers, freight forwarders, PPJK, and relevant parties to manage import shipments from origin to final delivery.
- Monitor import documentation, including Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Bills of Lading/Air Waybills, and other customs clearance documents.
- Coordinate import clearance processes and follow up on customs-related issues, including HS Code classification and applicable import regulations.
- Coordinate with relevant internal departments, including Warehouse, QC, Finance, and R&D, regarding material requirements, delivery discrepancies, and product specifications.
- Source new suppliers and evaluate quotations based on price, quality, lead time, and supplier performance.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules to achieve cost savings and procurement efficiency.
- Monitor supplier performance and support periodic supplier evaluations.
- Prepare purchasing and import-export reports, including shipment status, outstanding orders, and related cost information.
- Ensure purchasing and import documentation is properly maintained and available for audit and compliance purposes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (S1) in Industrial Engineering, Logistics Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management, International Business, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 year of experience in Purchasing, Procurement, or Import-Export (EXIM), preferably in manufacturing.
- Experience in handling both local and import purchasing, including supplier coordination, Purchase Orders, shipment monitoring and delivery schedules.
- Understanding of purchasing processes, import documentation, customs clearance, HS Code classification, and import regulations.
- Experience coordinating with overseas suppliers, freight forwarders, and PPJK is an advantage.
- Familiarity with Indonesian import regulations and systems such as INSW is a plus.
- Experience in medical devices, diagnostics, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or other regulated manufacturing industries is an advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP/MRP systems is preferred.
- Strong communication, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
