Job description for Production Manager at PT Universal Indofood Product
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute production plans based on schedules provided by PPIC to ensure timely and accurate output.
- Supervise and control all production processes and results to meet production targets and quality standards.
- Establish and maintain quality standards for raw materials, auxiliary materials, and measuring instruments to ensure optimal product quality.
- Ensure the correct and efficient use of all raw and auxiliary materials from start to finish in accordance with system and regulatory requirements.
- Analyze and evaluate production performance to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and resource utilization.
- Maximize process analysis and implement actions to minimize waste (WASTE) and production losses.
- Actively coordinate with other departments to maintain a smooth production flow.
- Ensure operational compliance with FSSC 22000, HACCP, SJH and other applicable food safety and quality management standards.
- Lead and develop a large production team through effective leadership, coaching, and employee engagement.
- Monitor and control production costs, prepare periodic performance reports, and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements / Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Industrial, Mechanical & Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5–10 years of experience in food manufacturing, preferably in biscuit production.
- Proven experience in managing large production teams in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Strong expertise in production planning, process optimization, and food safety management systems, including FSSC 22000, HACCP, and SJH.
- Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills with a strong focus on efficiency and continuous improvement.
