Job description for Product Development Food Technologist at Atman Teas
Atman Teas is a modern tea beverage company currently developing functional RTD canned tea products inspired by Indonesian tea culture, calm focus, and modern design.
We are looking for a hands-on technical operator to help build the foundation of our product development and beverage operations from the ground up.
This is not a purely office or lab role. You will be directly involved in beverage R&D, pilot production, process testing, quality control, and operational system building.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist beverage formulation and R&D trials
- Conduct brewing, filtration, dosing, filling, and pasteurization testing
- Help improve consistency, stability, and product quality
- Record production parameters, QC data, and trial documentation
- Assist in shelf-life and sensory evaluation testing
- Help build SOPs and operational workflows
- Coordinate ingredients, packaging, and production suppliers
- Support pilot production and small-scale manufacturing activities
- Work directly with founder on product and operational development
Requirements
- Background in Food Technology, Food Science, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, or related field
- Preferably has 1–4 years experience in beverage, FMCG, brewery, dairy, coffee, or food manufacturing environments
- Fresh graduates with strong practical experience may still apply
- Detail-oriented and operationally disciplined
- Comfortable working in startup environments with ambiguity and experimentation
- Willing to work hands-on in production and R&D environments
- Strong curiosity toward beverages, tea, brewing, and product development
- Able to troubleshoot and solve problems independently
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with beverage processing, pasteurization, sanitation, QC, or food safety systems
- Familiarity with pH, Brix, shelf-life testing, or production documentation
- Experience in pilot production or small manufacturing environments
- Interest in premium beverages, specialty tea, or consumer brands
