Job description for Procurement Specialist at PT. Indonesia Premium Goods
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in any field, with a minimum of 3–4 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain.
- Strong negotiation skills, with a track record of securing favorable pricing, contract and payment terms, and applying cost saving or cost avoidance strategies to protect the company's budget.
- Solid understanding of the end-to-end sourcing process, including RFP management and vendor bidding, across both office supplies and production materials such as raw materials, packaging, or finished goods.
- Good product knowledge, with awareness of specifications, quality standards, and market trends relevant to the goods being procured.
- Proficient in using ERP systems, e-procurement platforms, and MS Excel to support day-to-day procurement work.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized, yet quick and responsive when handling urgent or fast-changing procurement needs across departments.
- High integrity, with sound judgment in identifying and avoiding risky or non-compliant supplier practices.
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure procurement processes run smoothly and on time, in line with company SLAs, policies, and compliance standards.
- Monitor for potential fraud or unethical practices throughout the procurement process to help ensure end-to-end compliance.
- Source and evaluate potential suppliers based on reliability, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Lead contract negotiations, including payment terms, and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure consistent pricing, quality, and delivery performance.
- Plan and forecast material requirements based on production and project needs, including day-to-day office supply needs and time-sensitive requests from departments such as Marketing.
- Coordinate material scheduling with production planning teams and monitor inventory at supplier warehouses to keep supply aligned with demand and prevent overstock or losses from rejected materials.
- Request, review, and manage RFPs as part of the sourcing process.
