Job description for Procurement & Sourcing Specialist at Smart Advisory Solutions Bali
Key Responsibilities:
- Research, identify, and evaluate potential factories and suppliers (local and international) to ensure high-quality production, cost efficiency and reliability.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams.
- Conduct on-site visits and supplier mapping, ensuring materials and production methods align with our brand standards.
- Assess supplier capabilities, reliability, and ethical production practices.
- Execute RFQs and negotiate pricing, MOQs, lead times, and contract terms to optimize sourcing costs and efficiency.
- Stay updated on market trends, new materials, and sourcing opportunities.
- Prepare detailed sourcing reports, including vendor assessments, pricing analysis, and quality evaluations.
- Support project and collection development by collaborating with design and product teams to identify suitable suppliers and materials for new collections
- Maintain and update the supplier database, ensuring accurate records of supplier profiles, performance history, certifications, and contact information.
- Drive cost optimization initiatives by continuously identifying opportunities to reduce costs without compromising quality or supplier reliability.
- Conduct market benchmarking to ensure pricing remains competitive and market-conform, using market data and competitor insights to validate cost structures.
Qualifications:
- Experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in furniture or home décor.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills to establish solid supplier partnerships.
- Willingness to travel and conduct supplier visits for product assessments.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to assess new vendors based on quality, cost, and reliability.
- Attention to detail in evaluating materials, craftsmanship, and production methods.
- Ability to work independently and make data-driven sourcing decisions.
- Fluent in English (spoken & written)
