Role Description
The Elementary School Teacher at Palm Trees Montessori will design and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons that align with Montessori principles and school curriculum standards. This full-time, on-site role in Tangerang involves guiding students through individual and group learning activities, assessing student progress, and providing constructive feedback to support each learner’s growth. The teacher will prepare and maintain an orderly, inclusive classroom environment, select and organize Montessori materials, and foster a positive, respectful atmosphere. Daily responsibilities include collaborating with colleagues, communicating regularly with families about student development, documenting learning outcomes, and participating in school events and professional development. The teacher will model curiosity, independence, and empathy, supporting students’ academic and socio-emotional development.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Teaching, Elementary Education, and Education, with experience supporting diverse learning needs.
- Candidates should possess skills in Curriculum Development and the ability to design structured, student-centered learning experiences.
- Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills for interacting with students, families, and colleagues in a professional and collaborative manner.
- Montessori training or certification, or a demonstrated understanding of Montessori philosophy and practice, is highly beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; a valid teaching credential or license is an advantage.
- Experience working in elementary school settings, preferably in Montessori or child-centered environments.
- Ability to create an inclusive, safe, and supportive classroom, with strong classroom management and organizational skills.
- Commitment to ongoing professional learning, openness to feedback, and collaboration within a team-based school culture.
