Job description for Primary English Teacher at Miss Michelle Learning House
Miss Michelle Learning House is a learning centre founded in 2018, providing international-standard academic enrichment for Kindergarten and Primary students.
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Primary English Teacher to help students develop strong English language arts skills through engaging and meaningful learning experiences. You will play an important role in strengthening students' grammar, reading comprehension, vocabulary, and writing skills while building their confidence and love for learning.
The ideal candidate has excellent English proficiency, enjoys working with children, and is committed to delivering high-quality lessons in a supportive and collaborative learning environment.
Job Description
- Teach English to Primary students, including grammar, comprehension, and essay writing
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality and engaging lessons aligned with the center’s curriculum
- Support students with homework, reading tasks, and exam preparation when needed
- Create engaging, grade-appropriate worksheets and learning materials for regular classes, curriculum enrichment, and seasonal programs
- Monitor students’ progress and provide constructive feedback on their learning and writing development
- Communicate with parents, including preparing written feedback on students’ performance and progress
- Create a positive, supportive, and engaging learning environment that encourages students to enjoy learning English
- Collaborate with team members to develop and continuously improve learning programs
- Teach 5 days a week from 9.30 AM to 6.30 PM
Job Requirements
- Strong English proficiency is a must, both written and spoken
- Minimum 2 years of experience teaching English to Primary students
- Strong understanding of English language teaching, including grammar, reading comprehension, vocabulary development, and writing skills effectively
- Experience teaching Cambridge/IB or other international curriculum is an advantage
- Able to prepare effective lesson plans and engaging classroom activities
- Passionate about teaching children and supporting their academic and personal development
- Enjoys working with children and finds fulfilment in supporting their learning growth
- Has a collaborative attitude and communicates thoughtfully to maintain a positive team environment
- Demonstrates professionalism, integrity, discipline, and a willingness to learn
- Has good initiative, teamwork spirit, and an open-minded, growth-oriented attitude
- Willing to teach face to face and online (via Zoom/Google Meet) when necessary
- Willing to be placed in West Jakarta
