About the Role
PT Murni Solusindo Nusantara is expanding beyond its roots in banking into new sectors, including retail, healthcare, F&B and hospitality. We’re looking for a journalist or news presenter with a strong grasp of business and economic topics to run our educational events and manage our engagement with industry associations, professional organizations, and business communities. You’ll lead seminars, exhibitions, and podcasts that help decision-makers recognize challenges in their business and see how the right solutions can solve them.
Key Responsibilities
Event & Partnership Management
- Plan and run educational marketing events, including seminars, exhibitions, podcasts, and gatherings, that build awareness of industry challenges and position our solutions as the answer.
- Host and moderate podcasts, panel discussions, and seminars, drawing out insights from speakers and guests through well-prepared, probing questions.
- Work with marketing and product teams to shape event themes, speakers, and content around what our target audience needs to understand.
- Lead the company’s participation in external industry events and exhibitions, from planning through on-site execution.
- Identify and develop collaboration and sponsorship opportunities with associations and communities.
- Track event outcomes, such as attendance, leads, and follow-ups, and hand qualified interest to the Sales or Channel Development team as appropriate.
Project Coordination & Business Networking
- Manage event budgets, timelines, and vendors from planning through execution.
- Coordinate sales, marketing, product, and management teams on speakers, materials, and demos.
- Arrange business matching sessions between prospects and the sales team.
- Prepare post-event reports covering costs, reach, and business outcomes.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with key industry associations such as APINDO, ARSSI, and PERBANAS, as well as relevant communities and professional bodies.
- Manage association memberships and represent the company in association forums and committees.
- Secure speaking slots and panel seats for company leaders at industry events.
- Act as the primary PIC for association, community, and event partnerships.
Requirements
Must-have
- Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Journalism, Communications, International Relations, Business Management, Marketing, or a related field.
- At least 1-3 years of experience as a news presenter, preferably covering economic or business topics.
- Strong interviewing skills, with the ability to research a topic and draw meaningful information out of speakers.
- A network of contacts among business figures, economists, and industry sources.
- Ability to translate product value into audience-relevant topics and messaging.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Proven ability to take initiative and collaborate across teams.
- Able to use AI tools effectively: writing good prompts to speed up work and judging the output critically.
Nice-to-have
- Experience organizing educational or thought-leadership events such as seminars, webinars, or panel discussions.
- Experience in IT, tech, or B2B technology solutions.
- Tech-savvy, with the ability to quickly grasp technology products and business models.
