Role Summary
As a PPIC Supervisor, you will lead production planning and inventory control activities to ensure efficient resource utilization, optimal inventory levels, and timely production fulfillment. This role plays a critical part in aligning customer demand, production capacity, and material availability to support business growth.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop and manage Master Production Schedules (MPS) based on demand forecasts and business requirements.
- Ensure material availability through effective Material Requirement Planning (MRP).
- Monitor inventory performance and optimize stock levels to prevent shortages and excess inventory.
- Coordinate planning activities with Production, Warehouse, Purchasing, Quality, and Sales teams.
- Analyze production capacity and resource utilization to achieve operational targets.
- Lead, develop, and evaluate PPIC team performance.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning accuracy, inventory control, and operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Management, Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, or related fields.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in PPIC, Production Planning, Inventory Control, Supply Chain, or Manufacturing Operations.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a supervisory or team leadership role.
- Strong understanding of MRP, Master Production Scheduling (MPS), demand forecasting, capacity planning, and inventory control.
- Experience using ERP systems and production planning tools.
- Experience in Medical Device, Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, Diagnostic, or other regulated manufacturing industries is preferred.
- Familiarity with ISO 13485, GMP, and regulated manufacturing environments.
What Success Looks Like
- Production plans are consistently achieved on schedule.
- Materials are available when needed without excessive inventory levels.
- Inventory is optimized with minimal shortages, overstock, and obsolescence.
- Forecasts, production capacity, and material planning remain aligned.
- PPIC performance indicators demonstrate continuous improvement in planning accuracy and operational efficiency.
