About the Role | Tentang Posisi
We are looking for a Senior Product Designer with strong drawing, sketching, character design, and product development skills to develop our range of plush, toys, gifts, collectibles, and lifestyle products.
Posisi ini sangat hands-on dan kreatif. Anda akan menerjemahkan karakter dan konsep 2D menjadi produk fisik, terutama plush dan character-based merchandise, dari initial sketch → product concept → prototype → final production.
We are looking for an experienced designer who can work independently, make creative decisions, solve design problems, and develop products with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities | Tanggung Jawab
* Develop concepts for plush, toys, collectibles, gifts, accessories, stationery, apparel, and other character-driven products
* Create character sketches, poses, expressions, silhouettes, and product concepts
* Translate 2D characters and illustrations into 3D physical products, especially plush
* Develop plush designs including shape, proportion, features, materials, colors, and construction
* Create product variations, colorways, sizes, poses, and seasonal concepts
* Create product renderings, presentations, and visual references
* Develop themed and coordinated product collections
* Create product specification sheets and production artwork
* Prepare measurements, materials, colors, construction details, embroidery, printing, and other production instructions
* Communicate directly with manufacturers and suppliers throughout development
* Review prototypes and samples and identify issues with design, proportion, materials, colors, and construction
* Provide clear visual and written revision feedback to manufacturers
* Manage multiple sampling rounds until products are production-ready
* Ensure the final product maintains the personality and visual characteristics of the original character
* Balance creative direction with manufacturing feasibility, cost, materials, and production limitations
* Manage multiple projects, timelines, and deadlines
Requirements | Kualifikasi
Must Have
* Minimum 5 years of professional experience in product design, character design, plush design, toy design, illustration, animation, product development, or related fields
* Strong drawing and sketching skills are essential
* Portfolio is REQUIRED
* Portfolio must demonstrate character drawing, character development, product concepts, plush/toy design, and/or physical products
* Strong understanding of character design, proportions, expressions, poses, shape, color, and visual personality
* Ability to translate a 2D character into a 3D physical product
* Experience developing products from concept through prototype and production
* Experience working with manufacturers, factories, suppliers, or production teams
* Ability to create clear product specifications and production instructions
* Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
* Strong attention to detail and high standards for design and product quality
* Able to work independently and take ownership of projects
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills
* Able to manage multiple projects and deadlines
Strong Advantage
* Experience designing plush toys
* Experience in toy design, animation, cartoons, or character development
* Experience working with licensed characters or established IP
* Experience designing character merchandise or consumer products
* Knowledge of embroidery, appliqué, screen printing, sublimation, or other product decoration techniques
* Basic knowledge of 3D modeling or product visualization
* Experience working with overseas manufacturers
Education | Pendidikan
Degree or diploma in DKV / Visual Communication Design, Industrial Design, Product Design, Illustration, Animation, Fine Arts, or a related field is preferred.
However, professional experience and portfolio are more important than academic background.

Portfolio is REQUIRED.
