Job description for Piping Drafter at PT Skala Sukses Mandiri
We are looking for Piping Drafter to support the development and modification of piping engineering drawings for manufacturing projects. The role is responsible for creating and modifying piping technical drawings, developing isometric layouts, understanding welding/tri-clamp connection standards, developing isometric layouts, and calculating material requirements (BOM) and mastering AutoCAD 2D & 3D.
Job Description
- Create detailed 2D and 3D engineering drawings for piping lines (based on PID or design specification, Isometrics, and General Arrangement).
- Create a list of material requirements (Bill of Materials / BOM) for piping and fittings.
- Create and modify piping technical drawings according to project specifications.
- Develop isometric drawings and piping system layouts.
- Coordinate with engineers and field teams regarding pipe support installations and process equipment layouts.
- Revise drawings based on design changes.
- Create as-built drawings.
Main Requirements
- Minimum D3 in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience as a Piping Drafter; preferably in the food & beverage, pharmaceutical, or chemical industries.
- Able to read P&ID well.
- Proficient in AutoCAD 2D & AutoCAD 3D.
- Good understanding of piping standards (ASME, ANSI, API, JIS, ASTM).
- Good understanding of the specifications of sanitary materials (SS 304/316L pipes, tri-clamp, orbital/manual welding type).
- Knowledge of hygienic piping design principles, including proper drainage slope and gap-free design, is preferred.
- Detail-oriented, accurate, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Attach a relevant drawing portfolio.
