Job description for Physics Tutor for International Curriculum Student at Study to The Moon
Responsibilities
* Deliver one-on-one and small-group online Physics tutoring for IB, Cambridge (IGCSE, AS & A Level), and other international curricula.
* Develop personalized study plans and tailor lessons to address each student’s learning gaps, academic goals, and examination requirements.
* Simplify complex Physics concepts through structured explanations, practical examples, and exam-focused problem-solving techniques.
* Monitor student progress through regular assessments, provide constructive feedback, and adapt teaching strategies to maximize academic improvement.
* Prepare students for school assessments, internal examinations, and external board examinations by strengthening both conceptual understanding and exam techniques.
* Foster an engaging and supportive online learning environment that encourages critical thinking, confidence, and independent learning.
Requirements
* Strong understanding of Physics curricula in international education, including IB Diploma Programme (SL/HL) and/or Cambridge (IGCSE, AS & A Level).
* Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
* Previous teaching or tutoring experience in IB, Cambridge, or other international curricula is preferred.
* Familiarity with the assessment structures and examination formats of IB and/or Cambridge, including Internal Assessments (IA) for IB and practical or written examination requirements where applicable.
* Ability to explain complex Physics concepts clearly and adapt teaching methods to suit students with different learning styles.
* Comfortable delivering engaging and effective lessons in an online learning environment.
* Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
* Passionate about helping students achieve their academic goals and build confidence in Physics.
