Job description for Petugas Kebersihan / Cleaning Service at PT Bali General Supply (BGS)
The Cleaner / Housekeeping is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, hygiene, and tidiness of all areas within the BGS Bali outlet, including public spaces, restrooms, staff areas, and the bar or shop environment. This role supports daily operations by ensuring the store is clean, presentable, and comfortable for both guests and team members.
Key Responsibilities:
Daily Cleaning Duties:
- Clean and sanitize all areas including floors, windows, guest seating, restrooms, and back-of-house spaces.
- Wipe and disinfect high-touch surfaces regularly throughout the day.
- Empty trash bins, replace liners, and dispose of waste properly.
- Restroom Maintenance:
- Ensure guest restrooms are clean, well-stocked, and regularly checked throughout the shift.
- Refill tissue, soap, and other supplies as needed.
Store Presentation:
- Maintain cleanliness in front-of-house areas such as entrances, walkways, and customer seating zones.
- Support the team in keeping the bar or retail area tidy and visually appealing.
- Opening & Closing Duties:
- Follow daily cleaning checklists during opening and closing routines.
- Assist in deep cleaning activities as scheduled (e.g., floor polishing, high-dusting, etc.).
Support Team Operations:
- Respond promptly to cleaning or spill emergencies during operational hours.
- Assist with basic support tasks when needed, such as preparing cleaning materials or helping move light furniture.
- Supply & Equipment Handling:
- Use cleaning tools and chemicals safely and responsibly.
- Report low stock or equipment issues to the Store Manager.
Qualifications:
- Experience in cleaning or housekeeping roles preferred (hospitality or retail experience is a plus).
- Physically fit and able to perform cleaning tasks efficiently.
- Honest, disciplined, and detail-oriented.
- Able to follow instructions and work independently.
- Basic Bahasa Indonesia communication; no English required but is a plus.
