About the Role

We are looking for a Personal Assistant / Project & Operations Assistant based in Lombok.

This is not a traditional office assistant role. We are looking for someone highly organized, proactive, reliable, solution-oriented, and able to work independently.

The role is connected to several hospitality and property-related projects in Lombok and Gili Air, including an operating beachfront villa, a hotel development project on Gili Air, and future property development preparation in Kuta Lombok.

The right person will help with coordination, research, administration, sourcing, follow-ups, communication, and practical on-the-ground support.

Location & Working Style

The candidate should be based in Lombok.

The role is mostly independent and flexible, but the person must be able to travel to Gili Air approximately once per week to meet in person, discuss current tasks, review priorities, and plan the upcoming week.

Some tasks can be handled remotely, while others will require going to places in Lombok, meeting people, finding suppliers, checking options, preparing documents, or accompanying the owner to meetings or appointments when needed.

This role requires someone who does not wait for every small instruction, but can understand the goal, think ahead, and help move things forward.

Main Responsibilities

Project & Operations Support

Assist with different ongoing projects in Lombok and Gili Air.

Support the owner with coordination, planning, follow-ups, research, and execution of tasks.

Help organize tasks related to hospitality operations, property development, construction preparation, suppliers, service providers, and local administration.

Keep track of open tasks and make sure things do not get forgotten.

Follow up with people until things are actually completed.

Prepare information clearly so decisions can be made faster.

Support for Existing and Future Properties

Assist with matters related to an existing operating property on Gili Air.

Support coordination around an ongoing hotel development project on Gili Air.

Help with early preparation and research for future property development projects in Kuta Lombok.

This may include finding contacts, checking suppliers, collecting prices, visiting locations, speaking with local providers, and helping organize practical steps.

Research, Sourcing & Finding People

Find reliable local suppliers, workers, technicians, specialists, partners, and service providers.

Research where to buy specific materials, products, equipment, furniture, construction items, hospitality supplies, or other project-related needs.

Compare options, collect prices, check availability, and summarize the best solutions.

Help identify trustworthy people and avoid unreliable providers.

Arrange meetings, site visits, or introductions when needed.

Administration & Local Errands

Help with practical administration and local arrangements in Lombok.

Prepare documents, collect information, make appointments, and coordinate with relevant people or offices.

When something needs to be handled in person, go to the location and help manage the process.

If the owner needs to be personally present, accompany him and assist with communication, organization, and follow-up.

Communication & Coordination

Communicate clearly in English and Indonesian.

Coordinate with local service providers, suppliers, workers, consultants, government offices, property-related contacts, and other stakeholders.

Send clear updates about progress, problems, options, and next steps.

Make sure communication is not only polite, but also effective and result-oriented.

Follow up actively instead of waiting passively.

Problem Solving

This role requires a solution-oriented mindset.

The right person should not simply report problems. They should think about possible solutions, options, alternatives, and next steps.

When something is blocked, delayed, unclear, or difficult, the expectation is to help find a way forward.

We are looking for someone who can ask: What are the options? Who can help? What is the fastest practical solution? What do we need to do next?

We are not looking for someone who only says: This is difficult. This is not possible. I do not know.

Requirements

Based in Lombok.

University degree required.

Good English communication skills.

Good Indonesian communication skills.

Highly organized and reliable.

Proactive and able to work independently.

Strong problem-solving ability.

Solution-oriented mindset.

Good communication and follow-up skills.

Able to manage multiple tasks at the same time.

Comfortable working with foreigners and local partners.

Able to travel to Gili Air approximately once per week.

Willing to handle both office-type tasks and practical on-the-ground errands.

Honest, trustworthy, discreet, and responsible.

Driving ability is a plus, but not mandatory.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is educated, motivated, practical, and independent.

They should be comfortable organizing tasks, communicating with different types of people, finding solutions, and helping move projects forward.

They do not need to know everything from day one, but they must be smart, responsible, proactive, and willing to learn.

We are not looking for someone who only waits for instructions. We are looking for someone who can take ownership of tasks and help create progress.

Working Style

The working time is flexible, but the responsibility is real.

Some days may be quiet and can be handled remotely. Other days may require going somewhere in Lombok, meeting suppliers, checking materials, preparing information, or helping solve urgent issues.

The key is not fixed office hours, but reliability, communication, and results.

The candidate must be reachable, responsive, organized, and able to manage priorities professionally.

Compensation

Salary range: IDR 6,000,000 - 8,000,000 per month, depending on experience, English level, independence, and candidate quality.

For an outstanding candidate with excellent English, strong organization, high reliability, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently, a higher salary can be considered.

Growth Opportunity

The owners are involved in several hospitality and property-related projects in Lombok and Gili Air, including future larger-scale development plans.

For the right person, this role can grow over time into a broader project coordination, operations, or management support position.
