Job description for Payment Device Engineer at Kodegiri
We are hiring a Payment Device Engineer (Onsite – South & Central Jakarta) to deploy, configure, integrate, and maintain payment terminals, including EDC machines, card readers, and soundbox devices. In this role, you will troubleshoot payment hardware, perform transaction testing, and collaborate with internal teams and vendors to ensure reliable payment device performance.
JOB DESCRIPTIONS :
- Install, configure, and maintain payment terminal devices, including EDC machines, card readers, and soundbox devices.
- Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance on payment hardware.
- Support the integration and testing of payment devices with banking and electronic payment systems.
- Configure terminal parameters, firmware updates, and device settings.
- Investigate and resolve hardware-related issues to ensure optimal device performance.
- Coordinate with internal technical teams and external vendors during deployment and issue resolution.
- Perform transaction testing and validate payment device functionality before production rollout.
- Prepare technical documentation, maintenance reports, and troubleshooting records.
- Ensure payment devices comply with company and client operational standards.
JOB REQUIREMENTS :
- 3–5+ years as a Payment Device Engineer, EDC Engineer, Technical Support Engineer, Field Service Engineer, or similar role within Banking, Financial Services, FinTech, or Payment Solution industries.
- Strong experience with EDC Terminal, Smart POS, Card Reader, Soundbox, or other payment devices.
- Skilled in installation, configuration, firmware updates & troubleshooting.
- Familiar with EMV Chip Card, NFC (Contactless), QRIS, and e-Money technologies (Flazz, Brizzi, TapCash, or similar electronic payment systems).
- Experience with payment terminal vendors (Ingenico, Verifone, PAX, Sunmi, or similar); ISO 8583 knowledge is a plus.
- Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, LAN, Wi-Fi) for payment device connectivity.
- Willing to work onsite in South & Central Jakarta.
