Job Overview
BloomingHaus is looking for a warm, energetic, and responsible Part\-Time Teacher Assistant to support our teachers in delivering engaging and meaningful learning experiences for babies and toddlers
The ideal candidate is fluent in English, confident working with young children, and able to play a musical instrument. The Teacher Assistant will support classroom activities, assist with music and movement sessions, and help create a fun, safe, and positive environment for children and parents.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Lead Teacher in conducting baby and toddler classes
- Support classroom activities, transitions, and daily routines
- Engage with children through play, music, movement, songs, storytelling, and hands-on activities
- Play a musical instrument during class to support singing, rhythm, and music-based activities.
- Help prepare and organize teaching materials, props, instruments, and classroom setups before each session.
- Assist children during activities while encouraging participation and independence.
- Support sensory, art, music, movement, and Montessori-inspired activities.
- Communicate confidently and professionally in English with teachers, children, and parents/caregivers.
- Help maintain a warm, positive, and engaging classroom atmosphere.
- Assist the Lead Teacher in managing children’s needs during class, including transitions and activity changes.
- Observe children’s engagement and behavior and communicate relevant observations to the Lead Teacher.
- Assist with classroom clean\-up and ensure all materials are returned and organized after each session.
- Ensure the classroom environment is safe, clean, organized, and child\-friendly.
- Support special events, workshops, and other BloomingHaus programs when required.
- Work closely with the Lead Teacher and other team members to ensure smooth class operations.
- Follow BloomingHaus’ SOPs, teaching standards, safety guidelines, and professional expectations.
Requirements
- Fluent or strong spoken English.
- Able to play at least one musical instrument such as guitar, ukulele, piano/keyboard, or similar.
- Enjoys singing and interacting with young children.
- Previous experience working with babies, toddlers, preschoolers, or children is preferred.
- Warm, patient, energetic, friendly, and approachable personality.
- Comfortable interacting with both children and parents/caregivers.
- Responsible, punctual, proactive, and able to work well as part of a team.
- Presentable and professional in appearance.
- Willing to learn and follow BloomingHaus Montessori-inspired and play-based approach.
- Available to work on a flexible part-time schedule, including selected weekdays and/or weekends.
