Job Overview
BloomingHaus is looking for a warm, energetic, and creative Part-Time Mandarin Teacher to conduct Mandarin classes for babies and toddlers.
The teacher will introduce Mandarin through a play-based, interactive, and Montessori-inspired approach, using music, movement, storytelling, sensory activities, and hands-on learning to create a fun and meaningful early language experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct engaging Mandarin classes for babies and toddlers.
* Introduce basic Mandarin vocabulary, expressions, sounds, and simple instructions through songs, rhymes, stories, games, movement, and play.
* Create a warm, playful, and welcoming classroom environment for children and parents/caregivers.
* Provide consistent Mandarin exposure throughout the class while adapting to each child’s age and developmental stage.
* Incorporate age-appropriate sensory, movement, fine motor, and interactive activities into Mandarin learning.
* Follow BloomingHaus’ Montessori-inspired and play-based teaching approach.
* Prepare simple lesson plans and activities based on the monthly themes and learning objectives.
* Prepare teaching materials, props, books, flashcards, and other resources before each class.
* Ensure each session has clear and age-appropriate learning goals.
* Observe children’s participation and engagement throughout the class.
* Communicate positively with parents/caregivers and provide a brief class recap when required.
* Work collaboratively with other teachers and assistants when Mandarin is integrated into Baby Class, Sensory, Little Sonata, or other programs.
* Contribute creative ideas for new Mandarin activities, songs, games, and themes.
* Attend relevant teacher training, evaluations, and program meetings when required.
* Maintain classroom cleanliness, safety, and organization.
* Follow BloomingHaus’ SOPs, teaching standards, schedule, and professional guidelines.
Requirements
* Strong Mandarin speaking and pronunciation skills.
* Previous experience teaching babies, toddlers, preschoolers, or young children is preferred.
* Passionate about early childhood education and comfortable interacting with parents.
* Warm, patient, energetic, expressive, and engaging.
* Creative and confident in using songs, movement, storytelling, and props.
* Interested in or familiar with Montessori-inspired or play-based learning.
* Responsible, punctual, well-groomed, and professional.
* Available to teach on an agreed part-time schedule, including selected weekdays and/or weekends.
* Willing to follow and adapt to BloomingHaus’ curriculum and teaching standards.
