Job description for Operations Manager at Yayasan Merajut Hati

Our NGO is seeking to hire an Operations Manager to join our leadership team. You will be in charge of overseeing all operations relevant to the organization, with a particular emphasis on the Berbagi Hati program. This includes managing co-workers, ensuring progress is being made to achieve goals, evaluate systems, and communicating with external stakeholders. You will also be assisting our Human Resources department with recruiting, when necessary, and help promote a productive culture that encourages morale and performance.
Successful candidates will have a bachelor's degree in operations management, business management, psychology, and/or a related field. Furthermore, prior experience in management and leadership settings are preferred; A deep understanding of financial management is also a plus.
Operations Manager Responsibilities:
Lead local team members in daily operations, ensuring progress is made to achieve long-term targets.
Create planning, policies, and strategic decisions relevant to the organization’s goals. Present ideas to the chairmen of the Board and/or to the entire Board of Directors.
Assist HR with recruiting when necessary.
Promote an organization culture that encourages top performance and high morale.
Oversee budgeting, reporting, planning, and auditing.
Work with the Board of Directors to evaluate team progress and develop short and long-term goals.
Identify and address problems and opportunities for the organization.
Represent Merajut Hati in network settings; build alliances and partnerships with other organizations and like-minded individuals.
Respond to prospective clients or applicants of the Berbagi Hati program. Distribute tasks and manage activity needed to get the clients onboarded.
Manage current clients, check-in with their treatment progress, and assist them in program-related issues throughout their time in Berbagi Hati.
Support worker communication with the management team.
Operations Manager Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in operations management, business management, psychology or a related field.
Experience in management, operations, and/or leadership.
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia, written and spoken
Ability to work full-time and in-person in Jakarta, Indonesia
(Bonus) Understanding of general finance and budgeting, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash-flow management.
