Job description for Operational Manager at Grand Kesambi Resort & Villa
Grand Kesambi is seeking an experienced, results-driven, and dynamic Operational Manager to oversee and optimize our daily property/resort operations. In this role, you will be responsible for driving operational efficiency, maintaining exceptional service excellence, managing operational budgets, and leading cross-functional department heads to ensure a seamless guest experience and sustainable business growth.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree (S1) in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 – 5 years of proven experience in a managerial role (Operational Manager, Assistant General Manager, or Senior Operation Supervisor) within the Hospitality, Resort, Villa, or Property Management industry.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing operational budgets (OPEX) and interpreting operational financial statements (Profit & Loss).
- Comprehensive knowledge of end-to-end resort/property operations, including Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B, Engineering, and Grounds Maintenance.
- Proven track record in developing, implementing, and evaluating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Proficient in Hotel Property Management Systems (PMS) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Fluency in English (both written and spoken) is required for communicating with international guests, executive management, and external partners.
- Strong leadership, decision-making, and people-management skills.
- Exceptional problem-solving and crisis-management abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, supervise, and coordinate all day-to-day resort operational activities to ensure optimal efficiency and adherence to company standards.
- Manage operational budgets, control expenses, and drive cost-efficiency without compromising service quality.
- Conduct regular property audits and inspections to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, security, and facility maintenance.
- Direct HR allocations within operations, oversee scheduling, and provide continuous coaching and training to department supervisors/heads.
- Handle complex guest inquiries and resolve complaints promptly to ensure high guest satisfaction scores.
- Prepare and present detailed operational, financial, and performance evaluation reports to executive management.
