Job description for Operational Manager (Florist) at ONNI House
- Manage end-to-end daily florist operations, from procurement, flower preparation, arranging, quality control, packing, and delivery.
- Oversee daily operations of the main store/production area and multiple retail counters.
- Ensure each counter maintains proper stock levels, product availability, cleanliness, visual merchandising, and operational standards.
- Monitor and coordinate stock allocation, replenishment, and stock transfers between the main store/warehouse and retail counters.
- Lead, train, schedule, and supervise florists, production staff, counter staff, and couriers.
- Manage fresh flower inventory and other supplies to minimize waste, overstock, and stock shortages.
- Conduct and supervise periodic stock counts and investigate inventory.
- Ensure product quality and consistency across all stores and counters.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve operational SOPs across all locations.
- Coordinate closely with Sales & Customer Service for retail, custom, corporate, wedding, and event orders.
- Plan manpower, production capacity, and inventory requirements based on sales forecasts and upcoming orders.
- Support Sales by providing stock availability, production lead times, delivery estimates, and operational solutions for large or customized orders.
- Manage supplier relationships, evaluate supplier performance, and negotiate pricing and purchasing terms.
- Monitor operational expenses, petty cash documentation, inventory movements, and supporting documents before submission to Finance.
- Monitor the performance of each counter, including sales, inventory turnover, wastage, manpower productivity, and operational issues.
- Maintain stores, counters, production areas, equipment, operational vehicles, and product displays.
- Prepare operational plans for peak seasons such as Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, graduations, festive seasons, and other major occasions.
- Conduct regular visits and operational audits to retail counters.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs and wastage, and increase productivity.
