Job description for Odoo Intern at Pt. Foom Lab Global

Role Overview:
Supports the implementation, customization, and technical maintenance of FOOM's ERP platform. The role collaborates with engineering and operational teams to transform business needs into effective software updates, helping optimize company workflows through customized Odoo modules.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in programming, configuring, and adapting Odoo modules using Python and XML to address internal business requirements.
  2. Support setup and module deployment across corporate functions, including Finance, Sales, Inventory, and Human Capital.
  3. Investigate, debug, and resolve technical defects within existing ERP setups to preserve smooth daily operations.
  4. Help set up application programming interfaces to connect Odoo seamlessly with external software platforms.
  5. Participate in User Acceptance Testing, bug tracking, feature testing, and release validation.
  6. Work alongside cross-functional stakeholders to gather operational inputs and convert them into technical workflow designs.
  7. Create and maintain clear records of code changes, system configurations, and operational guidelines.

Qualifications:

  1. Active student or fresh graduate in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
  2. Working knowledge of Python programming along with basic web stack languages like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and XML.
  3. Understands relational database principles and PostgreSQL management.
  4. Familiarity with enterprise resource planning software, where academic or practical exposure to Odoo is preferred.
  5. Strong analytical mindset, fast learner, and curious about technical frameworks.
  6. Able to deliver results independently while collaborating effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Competency & Physical Requirement:

  1. Logical, methodical, and attentive to detail when developing code and identifying bugs.
  2. Clear communicator who can explain technical concepts to business users across departments.
  3. Disciplined in maintaining version control through Git and organizing project files.
  4. Comfortable with extended computer use and focused development work.
