Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced .NET Software Engineer to lead the architecture, optimization, and integration of our interactive automated kiosk platforms. In this capacity, you will be responsible for engineered solutions that span low-level hardware communication, high-performance desktop client architecture, real-time computer vision processing, and secure cloud synchronization via Firebase or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Core Responsibilities
• Desktop Application Architecture: Design, build, and maintain fault-tolerant client software using .NET 8 (WinForms), ensuring non-blocking UI responsiveness, strict memory management, and 24/7 runtime reliability for unattended kiosk environments.
• Hardware & Peripheral Interfacing: Implement robust communication protocols for external hardware, including Serial/COM port integration (System.IO.Ports) for payment terminals (BCA EDC/POS), card processing libraries via native C/C++ runtime bindings (P/Invoke), digital photo printers, and DSLR camera tethering.
• Computer Vision & Media Pipelines: Develop and optimize automated image-processing pipelines using OpenCV (Emgu.CV / OpenCvSharp) and Dlib (face detection and landmark tracking). Orchestrate automated video encoding and stitching through FFmpeg alongside automated print-layout generation via iTextSharp.
• Cloud & Backend Services: Architect scalable RESTful web APIs and background services (ASP.NET Core preferred) to handle transactional state, remote kiosk telemetry, and secure asset uploads to Firebase or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) (Firestore, Realtime Database, Cloud Storage).
• Production Support & Issue Resolution: Rapidly diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware-software integration defects and runtime incidents within defined SLAs/timelines to ensure uninterrupted kiosk uptime.
• Internationalization & Assets: Manage multi-language UI localization (English, Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Indonesian) and custom embedded typography rendering. Required Qualifications
• 4+ years of progressive experience in software development utilizing C# and .NET (.NET Core / .NET 6+ / .NET 8).
• Deep understanding of Windows Desktop runtime fundamentals, unmanaged resource disposal patterns (IDisposable, image buffers, COM interop), and concurrent/asynchronous execution models (TaskParallelLibrary, async/await).
• Strong track record in root-cause analysis and rapid production debugging, with proven ability to resolve critical technical issues and bugs within committed timelines.
• Proven experience in RESTful API engineering and backend architecture (ASP.NET Core preferred, or equivalent modern backend frameworks).
• Hands-on integration experience with Firebase or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) data stores and storage engines (Admin SDKs, Firestore, Cloud Storage).
Preferred Qualifications
• Practical experience interfacing with hardware protocols via Serial/RS-232/COM communication or consuming native unmanaged DLLs via DllImport / P/Invoke.
• Applied experience in computer vision, image manipulation libraries (OpenCV/Emgu.CV), or multimedia processing suites (FFmpeg).
• Experience integrating camera SDKs for automated image capture (specifically Canon EDSDK).
• Prior implementation of automated payment processing workflows (EDC terminals, QRIS, POS protocols).
• Experience integrating third-party messaging APIs (e.g., Telegram Bot API, WhatsApp Business Platform) for automated digital asset delivery.
• Background in embedded systems, interactive installations, or mission-critical unattended hardware deployments.
