Montessori Teacher
Position Summary
The Montessori Teacher is responsible for preparing and maintaining an authentic Montessori learning environment that nurtures each child's independence, curiosity, confidence, and love of learning. The teacher observes, guides, and supports children according to Montessori philosophy while fostering their holistic development academically, socially, emotionally, and physically.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain an authentic Montessori classroom environment.
- Present Montessori lessons based on each child’s developmental needs.
- Observe, assess, and document children’s progress.
- Foster independence, concentration, confidence, and a love of learning.
- Maintain Montessori materials and classroom organization.
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development.
- Uphold the vision, mission, and values of Cosmic Montessori School.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, Psychology, or a related field.
- Montessori certification is preferred.
- Experience in a Montessori school is an advantage.
- Good English communication skills.
- Passionate about children, collaborative, responsible, and committed to continuous learning.
