Job description for Mid-level Java Developer at ECGO EVMOTO
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Design, develop, and maintain high-quality backend services using Java (Spring Boot) and Go.
2. Build and optimize scalable microservices architecture with robust service-to-service communication.
3. Manage and optimize relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL), implementing query optimization and spatial indexing (PostGIS).
4. Implement asynchronous messaging systems using Kafka, RabbitMQ, or MQTT for real-time event-driven processing.
5. Take full ownership of the feature lifecycle, from architectural design and coding to Docker containerization and CI/CD deployment.
6. Collaborate in a fast-paced startup environment to solve complex engineering problems and support high-traffic, real-time platform demands.
REQUIREMENTS:
1. Bachelor's degree (S1) from any major.
2. Minimum 1-3 years of solid experience in backend development
3. Fluent in English; Upper-Intermediate level is highly welcome to apply.
4. Preferably available to join immediately or within a short notice period.
5. Willing to work Monday–Friday (09:00–18:00) and Saturday half-day (09:00–13:00).
6. Strong proficiency in Spring Boot, Spring Data JPA, REST API, and Dependency Injection.
7. Familiarity with Goroutines & channels, standard library, idiomatic Go, and building production-grade services.
8. Proficiency in PostgreSQL/MySQL (query optimization, indexing). Deep understanding of RESTful design, JSON, versioning, and authentication (JWT/OAuth2).
9. Hands-on experience with Microservices and message brokers (Kafka/RabbitMQ/MQTT).
10. Solid grasp of Concurrency, Caching (Redis), Idempotency, Error Handling, Git, Docker, and CI/CD basics.
Highly Desirable (Big Plus):
1. Experience in Ride-Hailing, On-Demand, Logistics, or Fleet Management platforms.
2. Deep knowledge in PostGIS, OSRM, routing, geofencing, spatial indexing, and IoT integration (device telemetry, event-sourcing ledger).
3. Experience with gRPC, CQRS, Kubernetes, and Observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Tracing).
4. Experience handling high-traffic real-time systems and Payment Gateway/Wallet integration.
5. Experience in integrating LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic Claude), building AI-powered features (demand prediction, ETA, dynamic pricing), Vector databases/RAG, AI Agents/workflows, or MLOps basics.
