About the Role
We are seeking an experienced MEP Engineer (Plumbing and Electrical) to join our team at China Construction First Group Corporation Limited' in Jakarta. This full-time role is crucial in overseeing the design, installation and maintenance of the plumbing and electrical systems in our construction projects. You will work closely with our construction and project management teams to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality, compliant and efficient MEP systems.
What You'll Be Doing
- Designing plumbing and electrical systems for new construction projects based on project requirements and building codes
- Reviewing and approving MEP shop drawings and submittals from contractors
- Conducting site inspections to monitor the installation of plumbing and electrical systems
- Troubleshooting and resolving issues with MEP systems during construction and operations
- Liaising with local authorities to obtain necessary permits and approvals
- Preparing technical reports and documentation to support project deliverables
- Mentoring and providing guidance to more junior members of the MEP engineering team
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- 8+ years of experience as an MEP Engineer, preferably in the construction industry
- Thorough understanding of plumbing and electrical design codes and standards
- Proficient in using MEP engineering software such as AutoCAD, Revit and BIM
- Strong problem-solving, analytical and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work with cross-functional teams
- Familiarity with construction processes and project management principles
