Job description for MEP COORDINATOR at Pram Projects
Project: Equator Medewi — Jembrana, Bali
PRAM is looking for an experienced MEP Coordinator to manage MEP technical coordination, site engineering, and QA/QC for an ongoing construction project in Medewi.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and related MEP systems between consultants, site team, suppliers, subcontractors, and Project Manager.
- Review MEP design drawings, shop drawings, schematics, equipment requirements, and technical submissions.
- Identify clashes and interface issues between:
MEP
Architecture
Structure
Interior
- Review MEP installations for constructability and site conditions.
- Prepare and manage MEP RFIs and technical clarifications.
- Coordinate sleeves, openings, penetrations, shafts, ceiling services, equipment locations, and service routes.
- Perform site inspection and MEP QA/QC.
- Monitor defects, testing requirements, and rectification.
- Coordinate material/equipment technical submissions and approvals.
- Prepare Material Requirement Planning & Quantity Take-Off for Construction Needs for MEP works.
- Coordinate with MEP Drafter for shop drawings, coordinated drawings, revisions, redlines, and as-built drawings.
- Assist with testing, commissioning, and handover preparation.
- Identify technical and schedule risks before they affect construction progress.
- Coordinate with Architectural Coordinator and site execution team to prevent rework.
Requirements
- Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil/Building Services Engineering, or related discipline.
- Minimum 3–5 years experience in MEP construction or coordination.
- Strong practical understanding of several MEP disciplines, particularly:
- electrical
- water supply
- sanitary/plumbing
- drainage
- pumps
- equipment installation
- lighting
- ELV / low-current systems
- Able to read MEP drawings, schematics, specifications, and architectural/structural drawings.
- Able to perform material quantity take-off and requirement planning.
- Familiar with AutoCAD. Revit MEP/BIM experience is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of site installation and coordination.
- Able to identify clashes and propose practical technical solutions.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
- Willing to work on the Medewi project, Jembrana, Bali.
