About the role
We are seeking a Guru Matematika Internasional (International Mathematics Teacher) to join our secondary education team in Bekasi, West Java. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in delivering mathematics education aligned with international curricula and standards. As an International Mathematics Teacher, you will be responsible for inspiring students to develop mathematical reasoning, problem-solving skills, and a genuine appreciation for the subject. This position is essential to our mission of providing world-class education and preparing students for international examinations and further academic pursuits.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging mathematics lessons that align with international curricula standards and learning objectives
- Assess student understanding and progress through a variety of formative and summative assessment methods
- Provide constructive feedback to students and maintain detailed records of academic performance
- Develop and use differentiated teaching strategies to support diverse learning needs and abilities within the classroom
- Prepare students for international mathematics examinations and standardised tests
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum materials, teaching resources and best practice approaches
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development activities and school initiatives
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and achievements
- Foster a positive, inclusive and supportive classroom environment that encourages student curiosity and academic growth
- Contribute to the wider school community and support extracurricular mathematics activities where appropriate
What we're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education or a related discipline from an accredited institution
- Teaching qualification or certification recognised internationally (such as PGCE, Diploma in Education or equivalent)
- Minimum of 2 years' experience teaching mathematics at secondary level, preferably within an international or international-standards school environment
- Demonstrated knowledge of international mathematics curricula such as IB (International Baccalaureate), Cambridge, or similar frameworks
- Strong command of English language, both written and spoken, for effective classroom instruction and professional communication
- Proficiency in using educational technology and digital tools to enhance teaching and learning
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues and parents
- Passion for mathematics education and commitment to student-centred, innovative teaching approaches
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team whilst demonstrating initiative and professional responsibility
- Flexibility, adaptability and a willingness to contribute beyond the classroom to support school activities and initiatives
