WE ARE HIRING – MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS LEAD

We are Viskal, a third-party hiring partner, opening a position for our client company Nomads Padel Company in Canggu, Badung, Bali for the role of Marketing and Communications Lead.

POSITION DETAILS

Role: Marketing and Communications Lead

Location: Canggu, Bali (full-time onsite)

Working hours: 6 days per week, 8 hours per day

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Own the end-to-end marketing strategy including positioning, narrative, channel mix, content calendar, paid plan, launch sequencing, and post-launch retention communications
  • Drive the membership funnel including Founder-tier acquisition (50,100,150 wave structure), monthly and quarterly conversions, Tribe Annual upgrades, renewals, and waitlist nurture once the 300 cap is reached
  • Manage the Social Media and Content Creator team (direct reports) by setting weekly briefs, reviewing the grid before posting, approving paid creative, and protecting visual and tonal standards set by the Chief Creative Officer
  • Translate CCO's creative direction into shipped output by receiving Monday briefs, running the team to deliver, presenting work for Thursday approval, and closing the loop on revisions
  • Build and run the member communication lifecycle including welcome sequences, Founder-tier nurture, member onboarding, retention touchpoints, win-back, and event communications
  • Manage the website, digital surfaces, and public-facing copy for accuracy, consistency, and conversion
  • Coordinate with Sponsorships, Local Partnerships, Corporate Events, Community Activation, and Merchandising on cross-functional campaigns and storytelling
  • Build the press and media plan for soft opening (October 2026) and full launch (January 2027) and manage local press, lifestyle press, padel press, and influencer outreach
  • Manage the content production pipeline including photo, video, podcast, behind-the-scenes capture, interviews, and member stories
  • Own the Pillar 2 marketing budget and provide clean monthly reporting to Alex on spend versus commercial outcomes
  • Run a disciplined weekly cadence with brief on Monday, ship on Thursday, review on Friday

WHAT WE NEED (REQUIREMENTS)

  • Five or more years in senior marketing or brand-led communications roles, ideally in hospitality, lifestyle, premium fitness or wellness, members clubs, or sport and sports-lifestyle brands
  • Demonstrated ability to build a brand voice from a blank page and carry it consistently across multiple surfaces
  • Strong commercial instinct with comfort owning a membership funnel, reading conversion data, allocating spend, and accepting accountability for pipeline outcomes (not just creative output)
  • Strong people-management instinct with ability to run a small in-house team plus external freelancers or agencies while protecting standards
  • Visual literacy and taste with ability to credibly receive direction from a Chief Creative Officer and translate it into shipped work without diluting it
  • Comfortable in a founder-led environment with high standards and direct feedback
  • Excellent written and spoken English; Bahasa Indonesia is a meaningful advantage but not required
  • Operational discipline including calendars, briefs, approvals, reporting, and budget tracking as second nature
  • Local Bali market understanding (digital nomad audience, expat lifestyle, Canggu-specific dynamics) is a strong plus
  • Willing to work 6 days per week onsite in Canggu including flexibility during pre-opening, soft-open, and launch phases

WHAT YOU WILL GET (BENEFITS)

  • Base salary: IDR 8,000,000 to 9,000,000 (depending on experience and qualifications)
  • Meal allowance: IDR 25,000 per working day
  • Service charge as per company policy (standard in hospitality)

This role is commercial, creative-adjacent, and operational at the same time. Not a junior brand role and not a pure performance-marketing role.
