Job description for Marketing & Growth Assistant at RhetoriQo
We are looking for a creative and commercially curious Marketing & Growth Assistant to help RhetoriQo grow its brand and business. You'll have creative bandwidth to generate content ideas, produce videos, and track performance — and you'll also get hands-on exposure to business development, from identifying opportunities to supporting outreach.
Who Are We?
RhetoriQo transforms inner voices into outside influence through curated speaking and communication training programmes. Founded by seasoned speaker, lawyer, and coach Zulhafni Zulkeflee, we empower individuals and organisations to excel in their high-stakes settings with public speaking, negotiation, persuasion, and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Content Planning & Ideation: Lead RhetoriQo's online presence by (i) maintaining a clear content calendar for Instagram, TikTok, and other platforms, and (ii) proposing daily post ideas — including videos, images, and captions — that align with our coaching mission, based on research trends and industry topics.
- Video Production & Editing: Capture, edit, and polish videos (e.g., Reels, TikToks, stories) optimised for trend relevance, engagement, and credibility-building — with an opportunity to work within the public speaking and communication sector.
- Platform Management & Community Engagement: Lead RhetoriQo's social media growth by managing content across our platforms (e.g., scheduling and publishing according to best posting times), monitoring performance, and refining strategy based on analytics.
- Analytics & Strategy: Experiment with different content formats (e.g., storytelling, teaching snippets, behind-the-scenes) to learn what resonates, by tracking engagement, reach, and other key metrics.
- Business Development Support: Support RhetoriQo's growth by (i) researching potential corporate clients, events, and partnership opportunities, (ii) assisting with outreach tracking and lead lists (e.g., on LinkedIn), and (iii) collaborating on growth ideas — such as relevant industry events to attend, speak at, or pitch to — as you grow into the role.
Qualifications
We value an openness to learn and experiment over experience — if you have the traits below and are up for a new challenge, we would be happy to chat with you:
- Proficient in content editing tools (Canva, CapCut, Adobe Premiere, etc.) and general office tools (e.g., Google Docs/Sheets, Excel, Email)
- Strong awareness and curiosity of social media trends, particularly on Instagram/TikTok
- Excellent written and verbal communication, organisational skills, and attention to detail
- Keen to try new things and have an eye for creativity
- Commercially curious — you think about not just how to grow an audience, but how that translates into real business opportunities
- Self-motivated with the ability to propose ideas and follow through independently
- Previous experience in content creation or social media is a plus, but not necessary — if you're new to this, tell us how you'd go about learning and growing in the role
Remuneration & Working Conditions
- Contract/part-time role: 3–4 hours/day, flexible schedule
- SGD $13–15/hour
- Remote and/or hybrid (Singapore-based preferred; you may be required to follow along for training programmes or sessions on occasion)
