Job description for Marine Senior Engineer at PT. Jagad Mandiri Marine
- Lead and oversee all maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities of marine diesel engines and associated systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability
- Supervise and execute engine overhaul, inspection, and commissioning processes in accordance with manufacturer standards and company procedures
- Provide technical leadership, guidance, and support to field technicians and junior engineers to ensure high-quality service delivery
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on equipment failures and develop effective corrective and preventive action plans
- Develop, implement, and monitor preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and improve equipment lifespan
- Analyze and evaluate engine performance data, maintenance records, and technical reports to identify trends and improvement opportunities
- Ensure all operations are carried out in compliance with HSE standards, company policies, and applicable marine regulations
- Coordinate effectively with clients, ship crews, superintendents, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution and customer satisfaction
- Support and supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of marine engines and related systems
- Assist in technical planning, spare parts selection and recommendations, and project scheduling to ensure efficient resource utilization
- Maintain strong familiarity with Volvo marine engines, including maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance optimization
