Job Overview
We are looking for a warm, engaging, and creative Mandarin Teacher to join BloomingHaus and deliver fun, meaningful Mandarin learning experiences for babies and toddlers.
The teacher will introduce Mandarin through a play-based, interactive, and Montessori-inspired approach, focusing on early language exposure, sensory exploration, movement, music, and meaningful interaction between the teacher, child, and parent/caregiver.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct Mandarin classes for babies and toddlers using age-appropriate and developmentally appropriate teaching methods.
* Introduce basic Mandarin vocabulary, expressions, sounds, and simple instructions through songs, rhymes, stories, movement, games, and hands-on activities.
* Create a warm, positive, playful, and engaging classroom environment for both children and parents/caregivers.
* Provide consistent Mandarin language exposure throughout the class while adapting communication to each child’s age and developmental stage.
* Incorporate sensory, fine motor, gross motor, cognitive, language, and social-emotional activities into Mandarin learning.
* Apply BloomingHaus’ Montessori-inspired principles, encouraging exploration, independence, repetition, hands-on learning, and respect for each child’s individual pace.
* Prepare lesson plans and classroom activities based on BloomingHaus’ monthly themes and curriculum.
* Ensure every class has clear learning objectives and developmental goals.
* Prepare and organize teaching materials, props, books, flashcards, musical instruments, and other learning resources before each class.
* Observe children’s participation and responses during class and provide relevant feedback to the Program Coordinator.
* Build positive relationships with parents/caregivers and provide a brief recap of the class and learning experience when needed.
* Collaborate with other teachers and assistants, especially when Mandarin is integrated into programs such as Baby Class, Sensory, or Little Sonata.
* Contribute creative ideas for new Mandarin activities, themes, songs, and learning materials to continuously improve the program.
* Attend teacher training, evaluations, and monthly program meetings.
* Maintain classroom cleanliness, safety, organization, and proper handling of teaching materials.
* Follow all BloomingHaus teaching standards, SOPs, schedules, and professional guidelines.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Strong Mandarin speaking and pronunciation skills.
* Previous experience teaching babies, toddlers, preschoolers, or early childhood programs is preferred.
* Passionate about working with young children and comfortable interacting with parents/caregivers.
* Warm, patient, energetic, expressive, and engaging personality.
* Creative and confident in using songs, music, storytelling, movement, and props to support learning.
* Interested in or familiar with Montessori-inspired, play-based, or early childhood education.
* Good classroom management and communication skills.
* Responsible, punctual, well-groomed, and professional.
* Willing to learn and follow BloomingHaus’ curriculum and teaching standards.
