Job description for Mandarin Pre-School Part Time Teacher at Yay Sinar Terang Perasim
A well-established preschool located in South Jakarta is seeking a dynamic and passionate part-time teacher to lead our Mandarin educational programs.
Qualifications:
- Plan and teach fun and engaging Mandarin lessons for children aged 3–6.
- Create a rich learning environment using stories, songs, pretend play, art activities, and celebrations of Chinese culture.
- Use a variety of simple and effective teaching methods to help young children understand and enjoy learning Mandarin.
- Work closely with class teachers to include Mandarin in daily activities and classroom themes.
- Record and keep track of each child’s progress, and share updates with parents and other teachers.
- Join in school events, parent meetings, and training sessions for teachers.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chinese Language, Mandarin Education, or a related field
- Strong proficiency in spoken and written Mandarin
- Teaching certification or formal training in Mandarin instruction
- Experience teaching Mandarin to young children (preschool or early years)
- Passionate about early childhood education and learning through play
- Creative, caring, and able to make learning fun and meaningful
- Comfortable working in a multicultural, English-speaking environment
