Job description for Mandarin Interpreter – Chemical, Coal & Energy at CHINA PINGMEI SHENMA HOLDING GROUP CO LTD
Key Responsibilities
- Provide professional Mandarin–Indonesian interpretation during meetings, business negotiations, training sessions, client visits, project discussions, and technical site visits.
- Translate contracts, reports, presentations, emails, technical documents, safety procedures, operating manuals, and other business materials accurately and professionally.
- Coordinate communication between the China headquarters and local employees, government authorities, clients, suppliers, contractors, and business partners.
- Support daily business operations, including order follow-up, procurement coordination, logistics, delivery tracking, issue resolution, and project implementation.
- Prepare business documents, sales reports, inventory updates, project progress reports, market analysis, customer feedback summaries, and operational reports.
- Assist with market research, exhibitions, business events, customer visits, and factory/site inspections as both an interpreter and business coordinator.
- Coordinate cross-functional projects to ensure efficient communication and smooth execution across departments.
- Support compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and HSSE (Health, Safety, Security & Environment) requirements during business activities.
- Perform additional administrative and operational tasks assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Fluent in Mandarin Chinese and Bahasa Indonesia, both spoken and written.
- English proficiency is an advantage.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent business interpretation skills with the ability to accurately convey context and meaning rather than translating word-for-word.
- Proactive, responsible, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced international environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Willing to travel for business meetings, client visits, factory/site visits, and project support when required.
- Experience in the Chemical, Coal, Mining, Energy, or related industrial sectors is preferred.
- Familiarity with industrial terminology, production processes, supply chain operations, and technical documentation related to chemical, coal, or energy businesses is an advantage.
- Basic understanding of industrial safety standards, HSSE practices, and regulatory compliance within the chemical, coal, or energy industry is preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical, engineering, operations, and commercial teams in a multicultural environment.
- Experience supporting manufacturing plants, industrial projects, EPC, mining operations, or energy-related businesses will be considered an advantage.
