Job description for Manager Civil and Structural at Balimmo Villa Management
SENIOR CIVIL & STRUCTURAL ENGINEER – VILLA DEVELOPMENT
We are looking for an experienced on Senior Civil & Structural Engineer to join our villa development team in Bali. The role focuses on the design and technical development of high-end, custom, and non-typical villas, requiring strong structural knowledge, analytical thinking, and practical construction experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and develop civil and structural systems for villa projects from concept through construction.
* Develop structural solutions for custom and non-typical architectural designs, while maintaining safety, buildability, functionality, and architectural intent.
* Perform structural analysis and calculations for columns, beams, slabs, foundations, stairs, roofs, swimming pools, retaining walls, sunken areas, voids, cantilevers, long spans, split levels, and other complex structures.
* Design appropriate foundation systems based on soil investigation/geotechnical results, structural loads, and site conditions.
* Prepare, review, and revise structural drawings, details, calculations, shop drawings, construction drawings, and as-built drawings.
* Review existing structures and drawings, identify deficiencies or inconsistencies, and provide appropriate technical solutions.
* Review structural changes and construction issues and provide practical solutions where required.
* Conduct site inspections and verify that structural works comply with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
* Coordinate closely with Architects, Contractors, Consultants, Project Managers, and other stakeholders to ensure designs are technically feasible and buildable.
* Ensure structural designs comply with applicable Indonesian SNI standards, regulations, and safety requirements.
* Provide technical input, value-engineering solutions, and recommendations throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
* Minimum 8 years of experience in Civil and/or Structural Engineering.
* Master’s Degree (S2) in Civil/Structural Engineering is mandatory
* Mandatory experience in villa, residential, or property development projects.
* Experience with high-end/luxury villas in Bali is highly preferred.
* Proven experience with custom, complex, and non-standard structures.
* Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete, steel structures, foundations, retaining walls, swimming pools, and structural detailing.
* Strong understanding of soil and geotechnical conditions and foundation design.
* Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit.
* Strong analytical, logical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate different structural solutions and determine practical and technically sound options.
* Able to identify potential structural and constructability issues before and during construction.
* Strong communication and coordination skills with architects, contractors, consultants, and project teams.
* Able to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
* Willing to visit project sites whenever required.
Preferred Experience
Experience with large voids, cantilevers, long spans, split-level villas, sunken areas, integrated swimming pools, retaining walls, sloping terrain, complex foundations, irregular building geometry, and unconventional roof structures will be highly valued.
Candidates are encouraged to submit a portfolio showing relevant villa/property projects, particularly custom or non-typical structures.
